Installation process

 
Welding connection
 
  • Positioning and assembling: Place the Y-shaped reducing tee joint according to the required position and direction of the design, so that the joint is aligned with the center line of the pipeline, and ensure that the angle and spacing between each interface meet the installation requirements, and then perform spot welding fixation.
  • Welding operation: Perform welding according to the predetermined welding process parameters. Weld the inner weld first and then the outer weld. During the welding process, control the welding speed, current and voltage to ensure that the weld is full and uniform without defects such as pores, slag inclusions, and incomplete penetration.
  • Weld inspection: After welding is completed, perform a visual inspection of the weld to see if the weld surface is smooth and neat, and whether there are defects such as undercuts and cracks. If necessary, non-destructive testing methods such as radiographic testing and ultrasonic testing can be used to check the internal quality of the weld.
 
Threaded connection
 
  • Winding sealing material: Evenly wind an appropriate amount of Teflon tape or apply sealant on the external thread of the joint. Note that the winding direction should be consistent with the tightening direction of the thread to ensure the sealing effect.
  • Tighten the joint: Screw the joint into the internal thread of the pipeline and gradually tighten it with a pipe wrench or spanner. Be careful not to use excessive force to avoid damaging the thread. During the tightening process, ensure that the position of the joint is correct to avoid skewing or misalignment.
  • Check sealing performance: After installation is completed, perform a pressure test or water flow test to check whether there is leakage at the joint. If there is leakage, find the cause in time and repair it. It may be necessary to rewind the Teflon tape or replace the sealant and then tighten it again.
 
Compression fitting connection
 
  • Insert pipeline: Insert the pipeline into the compression fitting interface of the Y-shaped reducing tee joint to ensure that the insertion depth of the pipeline reaches the specified requirement. Generally, there will be corresponding marks on the joint and the pipeline.
  • Tighten the compression nut: Use a compression wrench to evenly tighten the compression nut so that the compression fitting tightly holds the pipeline to achieve sealing and connection. During the tightening process, pay attention to moderate force to avoid excessive deformation of the compression fitting or damage to the pipeline surface.
  • Check connection reliability: After installation is completed, gently pull the pipeline to check whether the joint and the pipeline are firmly connected without loosening. At the same time, perform a pressure test to check whether the sealing performance is good.
